Perfect Ski Resort in Ischgl at Hotel Alpina

Whenever you are fortunate enough to find yourself with a chance at a European ski vacation, there is no reason not to live in luxury when you’re doing it. Finding the right place to stay is paramount to having a great trip, with convenience and amenities taking priority, as easy access to the slopes and places to unwind will make your stay most memorable.

One of my favourite places in the world to ski is Ischgl, with beautiful and vast slopes that offer constant challenges and hours upon hours of excitement. When I go, I often stay at the Hotel Alpina, a beautiful and luxurious resort situated right on the mountain side, with the ability to ski in and out at your leisure.

The Alpina is run by the Zangerl family, and is a truly delightful place merging the excitement of the ski slope with the peace and quiet of a spa. The Pardatschgrat and Fimbabahn lifts are just a minutes away, offering the convenience you need for a day of skiing.

Upon your return from the slopes, you are greeted with a variety of options. If you’ve burned yourself out working hard on the mountain, there is a wellness centre where you can decompress in serenity. A sauna, steam room, spa, and pool are all at your disposal, helping to relax the mind, body, and soul.

If after a day of skiing, though, you look to enjoy the company of friends and strangers, there is a fantastic lounge and bar where you can socialize and unwind with a beverage of choice. There is plenty of lively après-ski for those looking to maintain a high level of excitement, and there is much to do for those who aren’t hardcore skiers as there is for those who are. With plenty of entertainment, including billiards, bowling, and an ice rink, you don’t need to go far to be engaged and have fun.

When it’s cold outside, and the mountain has drained me from hours of intense skiing—there are quite of a few black diamond slopes not far—Hotel Alpina is a great place to warm up, wind down, and enjoy a well-earned evening of fun and relaxation.
