Coming in at the world’s number one hotel, as voted by Travel + Leisure readers, is Singita Grumeti Reserves, located in the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania, and known the world over for providing Africa’s best safari experiences. We were a bit surprised to see this more adventurous resort at the top of the list, as most of us think of luxury hotels and tropical escapes when considering the most appealing travel destinations. But Singita tops this list, has been honored with many prestigious global awards and accolades, and has been voted as one of the best hotels in the world by numerous international travel publications and reader surveys.
